Architect Bolaji A. Balogun MNIM FNIA mni, was born in Lafiaji, Lagos Island, on 9th June, 1955. he started his education at St. David’s Primary School, Lafiaji, Lagos before he completed his Primary education at Mayflower Junior School, Ikenne, Ogun State. he went on to Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, where he passed out in flying colors in 1973. he further went to Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro (Yewa), Ogun State for his Higher School Certificate before he gained admission to study Architecture at Byelorussian University / Polytechnic Institute, Minsk (former USSR) on Scholarship, in 1976. having successfully obtained a Master of Architecture Degree in June 1982, Architecture Balogun immediately returened to Nigeria. he participated in the National Youth Service Corp Scheme in 1982 and served with the National Universities Commission (NUC), in Kaduna State. he was consequently retained and employed by in 1983.

He was pioneer Director of Physical Planning (acting capacity), at the Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, Ogbomoso, having been sent on secondment to the new university by the National Universities Commission, in 1991, till 1993. He was nominated as the “Best Worker in the National Universities Commission- Year 2002”. He also had the singular privelege of being the first staff of the Commission to rise through the years, from a NYSC staff, to the position of a “Deputy Director”, and was a member of the NUC Management Committee since 2004.

Architect Balogun was the Director of Physical Planning and Development in the Department in the National Universities Commission and retired in June 2015.

Architect Bolaji Balogun, a versatile and resourceful Architect, is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (FNIA), and is also a registered (F/881) Architect, with the Architects Regulation Council of Nigeria (ARCON). He is a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) and has attended many courers in Nigeria, USA, Europe and in the United Kingdom. He was nominated to attend the Senior Executive Course 29, 2007, at the National Institute, Kuru. He is currently the Chairman of Alumni Association of National Institute (AANI), Abuja Chapter. He was Board Member of the National Business And Technical Examination Board (NABTEB).

Architect Bola Balogun is happily married and blessed with two children. He speaks Yoruba, English and Russian Languages. His major hobbies include listening to types of music, especially Jazz, Reggae and Classics. He enjoys playing lawn tennis, as well as travelling.
