Senior Facilities Management Consultant

Engr. Victor Dairo was the Senior Facilities Management Consultant in Eroton Exploration and Production Company Ltd from June, 2018 to June, 2020. The position he left for pandemic reasons. He was accountable for Project Management activities developing work scope from Engineering Strategies – Design, Procurements, Construction, Installations, Commissioning and associated Performance management.

He was appointed the Managing Director/CEO of OPEX Oil and Gas Resources Limited in March, 2013 to March, 2018, with the overall accountabilities for the operations and maintenance of all outsourced facilities, which includes natural gas transmission, distribution, power plants and virtual pipeline system across the country. He is an Engineer with about  30 years working experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Victor started his career in Shell as Oil & Gas Facilities Engineer in 1991, with terminal/offshore design responsibilities and overall project management especially in the planning/scheduling of facilities construction activities utilizing multiple indigenous community contractors. He later became a Production Superintendent- Shell, Nigeria, accountable for production activities in an Oil & Gas facility with a capacity of 120Mbopd (Oil) and 40MMscfd (Gas) with a surface asset value of +US$3.0 US billon, in a safe and efficient manner with workforce of about 160 staff on a 14/14 work cycle.


He also worked as Corporate Auditor at Shell, Nigeria and SNEPCO Houston, USA from April 2002 to December 2004 providing independent assessments of the fitness for purpose and operation of the business controls frame works for the entities reviewed (Shell Companies) in accordance to Shell auditing Standards.

He has a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (BSc.) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science, from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

He is a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)


Some his Notable Awards include: Oando Environment, Health, Safety, Security, Quality Award, Consistent Shell high performance resulting to award of company stock options, Special Recognition Shell Awards from management for various cost saving initiatives and Excellence in operation, John M. Campbell and Company – Production Surface Operations Class Award
